The KFC Cheesy Zinger Meltz is an item as confusing as it's name suggests.
"Is it a zinger?" No... but yes.
"Is it a quesadilla in disguise?" Not really... but yes.
"Did it cause the team more confusion after tasting it?" No... but yes as well?
These mixed feelings and questions we had eventually led us to the idea. We embraced the Meltz and it's personality, created a campaign leaving everyone with more questions, but ultimately had them try it out for themselves to understand what the fuss was all about.
On socials, we got the confusion (and crave) going a few weeks before launch.
And at launch, we tried to answer as many questions as we possibly could in 30 seconds.
But the questions kept coming, so we held the Meltz accountable to clear the air once and for all.
The Cheesy Zinger Meltz sold out islandwide in 16 days.
